BCD Role Guide

BCD Role Guide

Where you sit, where the team is heading, what each role pays, and exactly what it takes to move up.

The team, now and next

We grow one pod at a time. Each pod is anchored by a Digital Strategist. Pick a stage to see who's in the team and what has to happen before we move on.

Roles and pay

Every role holds the same standard: 96%+ client retention. What changes as you move up is how many clients you can manage while holding it, and the proof that you can handle a bigger pod. Pay is base salary per year plus super, with on-target earnings (OTE) including commission at full retention.

Book sizes assume our average client value of $2.5k a month. OTE assumes a full book at 96%+ retention every month, and doesn't include referral, review or video bonuses. Ranges are reviewed every year.

Your career path

Estimate your commission

Commission is worked out each month on the revenue you manage and that month's retention, then paid quarterly. Enter your three months and your bonuses to see what you'd earn.

How commission works

DS and SDS earn 3% of the monthly revenue they manage. SSDS earn 3% on the first $75k a month and 5% on everything above $75k. Team Leads earn 3% of their own pod up to $30k a month, 5% on anything above that, plus 1% of the revenue of every pod they manage. JDS are on base salary only, so they don't appear in this calculator.

Each month's commission depends on that month's retention. 96% or higher pays full commission. 92% to under 96% pays half. Under 92% pays nothing for that month. The three months are added up and paid at the end of the quarter.

On top of that, strategists earn $250 for each referral harvested, $100 for each Google review and $100 for each testimonial video from their clients.

Quarterly review and application

You get one shot at moving up each quarter: your quarterly review with your manager. To be considered, bring a completed application with evidence for every area of the rubric. Claims without evidence score 1. No application, no promotion that quarter.
